She's from this totally fucking epic and insanely weird/abstract story i've had festering in my head for almost a year now, so you'll probably see more of her later i imagine...? Dunno. The contest theme was doing something 'normal' and my immediate thoughts were "OMF BRUSHING YOUR TEETH IS NORMAL!" so, ah...there ya have it! o-o; |

Okay, so here is what I am seeing. Now, the mirrors are pretty crooked (that is not a poblem) but they were drawn very squiggly-line-ed. So, it almost looks like they are fun house mirrors because when glass is cut/broken it is usually very straight and angular yet this has a more organic line.
I know the look you were going for is 'run-down' (how I know? DON'T ASK!!!!) but I think that a very crisp-cleeean straight edged line would have worked GREAT and to age it, simple add some rust, grime, cracks (you've seen fight club---)
Also, there are a few things you put on the mirror its self that have no reflections. The post-it, bruce lee picture and even the faucet would have a reflection --like you would be able to see a TON of the post it note- and maybe a little bit of the bruce lee pic and you could throw some MORE tiny tiny details in there like have Bruce's autograph on the back? (just an idea but the reflrection thing really kills the illusion of the mirror being a mirror. Also, the little cracked piece of mirror should have some sort of distortion to them. And there are a few proportion issues but, I feel as if I have said enough.
In conclusion, this is a great piece but all those minor details would only help achieve a solid illusion of that being a mirror. Also, there is a reason why I don't comment much on DA anymore.
