So this drawing has been lying around my floor for far long enough, and I told you guys that I'd show you some sample stuff from my various stories, so here we are. This is Rowan, an orphan with big bad magic powers. And if it weren't already obvious: heeeee's an elph.

Basically, his parents were both killed for research, and he was about to be killed next but he took out the entire squadron that came for him when he was only 4. So, he grew up with this fairly decent human family, but 10 years later (so he's 14'ish now) they tried to sell him off to the same organization that killed his parents. Whoa, deja vu: he kills the entire squadron and [accidentally] his adoptive family. He's been on the run ever since, carrying his father's massive encyclopedia of spells on his back.

Rowan's big thing is that he's the only character in the entire story capable of using magics from both heaven and earth, meaning he can summon some seriousally gnarly beasts to fight for him. Problem is, he's so damn young and troubled that he has practically no controll over his powers.
